Cain Meaning and Origin

The name Cain is a boy’s name meaning “acquired” and is of Hebrew origin. In the bible, Cain is the first son of Adam and Eve, the first human conceived (Genesis 4:1), and also the first murderer (Genesis 4:8). He kills his brother Abel and is exiled.
