Aeronwen Meaning and Origin
PRONOUNCED: eye RON wen or AYE ron wen. A Welsh girl’s name from the Welsh words meaning “fair, white” or “blessed” and “berry.” In Welsh mythology, Aeronwen was the daughter of a Welsh king named Brychan Brycheiniog. She is said to have been very beautiful and was often referred to as Aeronwen “the Fair.” The name has also been used in literature, such as in the novel “The Grey King” by Susan Cooper.
